A general model is developed for characterizing the expected performance of four selected types of tactical army combat crews when the individual crewmembers function at degraded performance levels due to acute exposure to ionizing radiation. The model is also applicable to other situations that degrade individual crewmember performance. The results provide performance data for larger scale U.S. Army models that simulate battlefield conflicts where nuclear weapons might be employed.
