Abstract:

Based on an evaluation of the material properties that control fluid dynamic performance a number of conclusions, recommendations and technical plans can be advanced. For the QAQC surveillance of a viscoelastic polymer additive, a variety of material property test methods were planned. The correlation between the results of these tests and the performance criteria was outlined. A general scheme of the usage of the results of the tests and their correlation with the performance criteria was discussed. Keywords Dissolution, Molecular weight, Gel fraction, Storage time, Solubility, Falling needle viscometer, Magnetic needle rheometer, Size exclusion chromatography, Light scattering, NMR, FTIR, Thermal analysis, Rheology.
