The Aircraft Reply and Interference Environment Simulator ARIES makes possible the performance assessment of the Mode Select Mode S sensor under its specific maximum aircraft load. To do this, ARIES operates upon disk files for traffic model and interference to generate simulated aircraft replies and fruit, feeding them to the sensor at radio frequency.
