Abstract:

The primary purpose of this document is to update and expand the current DSN System Interface Criteria circular. This document establishes the physical and electrical interface criteria necessary to provide engineering guidance to interconnect the various elements of the worldwide DSN with its supporting transmission facilities, other telecommunications systems, and commercial networks. This document identifies the standard interface points within the DSN and defines the functional and electrical characteristics of these interface points and the network as a whole. This document develops specific draft input for revisions to DCA Circular 370-175-13. The format for this task report focuses on the basic circular revision in terms of deletions, modifications, and additions. DCEC specifically requested that information be developed.
