A model is presented for a flexible beam with time hysteresis Blotzmann type viscoelasticity damping and tip body. A computational method for the estimation of the damping parameters is developed, and theoretical convergencecontinuous dependence results are given. An example is presented in which experimental data is used, demonstrating the efficacy of the computational method and the plausibility of the model for predicting response in damped structures.
