Abstract:

Technology transfer at the Hydrologic Engineering Center HEC takes place in its research, technical assistance and training activities. The interlinkage of these activities is important both to the development and to the transfer of technology. HECs five main technology transfer activities formal training, workshops, seminars, field implementation, and continuing support are described in relation to those main activities. Ingredients for successful technology transfer are illustrated. The paper also discusses several of HECs successes and failures in technology transfer.
