The goal of the IRP Phase I study is to identify sites where there is potential for environmental contamination resulting from past waste disposal practices and to assess the potential for contaminant migration from these sites. The conclusions are based on the evaluation of information collected from the project teams field inspection review of records and files examination of historical aerial photographs and interviews with base personnel, past employees, and state and local government employees. Sixty-one potential contamination sources were identified on ANG, Camp EdwardsARNG, USAF, and VA facilities at MMR. These sites are identified and their evaluation summarized in Table 5.0-1. Locations of these sites are shown in Figures 5.0-1 through 5.0-7. Forty-six of the 61 sites were determined to have a potential for contamination and contaminant migration.
