Abstract:

Various selective and nonselective M1 and M2 cholinergic antagonists have been studied for their presynaptic effects on 3H-acetylcholine release from the rat brain hippocampal slice preparation. Marked differences in potency and efficacy were observed that have direct implications with regard to the treatment of organophosphate poisoning. Keywords Antidotes.
