Abstract:
This report is principally concerned with the use of the triple correlation function and its Fourier transform, the bispectrum, for the imaging of randomly translating objects or objects viewed through atmospheric turbulence. The triple correlation has significant advantages over the second order correlation, although it does involve additional computational complexity. Specific consideration is given to algorithms for computing the triple correlation, the use of a moving time window and centroiding procedures. Keywords Triple correlation Bispectrum Atmospheric turbulence Image processing Photon correlation.
