Abstract:
The U.S. AF Summer Faculty Research Prgram USAF-SFRP is a program designed to introduce university, college, and technical institute faculty members to Air Force research. Each assignment is in a subject area and at an Air Force facility mutually agreed upon by the faculty members and the Air Force. In addition to compensation, travel and cost of living allowances are also paid. The specific objectives of the 1987 USAF-SFRP are 1 To provide a productive means for Scientists and Engineers holding Ph.D. degrees to participate in research at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory 2 To stimulate continuing professional association among the Scholars and their professional peers in the Air Force 3 To further the research objectives of the United States Air Force and 4 To enhance the research productivity and capabilities of Scientists and Engineers especially as these relate to Air Force technical interests.
