Abstract:

A new fire protection system has been developed to protect shipboard electronic equipment from the intense heat of fire and the potential damaging effects of smoke and fire extinguishing agents. The system will permit the equipment to function even while it is engulfed in a fire. This report describes feasibility tests of this new fire protection concept.
