Abstract:
This after action report addresses the Battalion Rotation Test conducted in the summer of 1986. Material was drawn from the Unit Manning System Field Evaluation Quarterly Reports, Major Command and USA Military Personnel Center after action reports, and site visits conducted by the HQ Department of the Army Battalion Rotation Evaluation Team. Eight COHORT battalions 2 Mech Inf, 2 Airborne Inf, 2 Field Artillery and 2 Tank rotated between the Continental United States and Europe during the summer of 1986. The report covers Personnel and Administration, Operations, Logistics, Morale, Cohesion and Esprit. It also contains a suggested sequence of events to be followed to facilitate rotation of Army units at the battalion level of detail.
