Abstract:
This paper reports on a study of the photochemistry of cyano and dicyanoacetylene at 193 nm. In particular, those photolysis channel have been characterized which lead to the production of excited state fragments and CN in the ground state. In addition to the direct production of CN and C2H, there is a second channel leading to C3N and H atoms. The results also show that at high laser intensity the HC3N dissociates by two photon photolysis and that the C3N undergoes secondary photolysis. Keywords Photodissociation, cyanoacetylenes, Photochemistry.
