Abstract:

The effect of business strategy defender versus analyzer and prospector on a variety of human resource management practices was assessed. Hypotheses regarding selection, training, and compensation were supported. Those regarding job analysis use of written HRM policies, promotion practices and performance appraisal were not supported.
