Group-level feedback on productivity was given to five organizations at an operational Air Force base. The feedback was based on a new approach to productivity measurement that is designed to have maximum motivational propetties when used as a basis for feedback. During feedback, the five organizations four with logistics funyions increased their overall productivity by an average of 50. After receiving feedback for 5 months, the organizations set goals for 5 months, During this time, their productivity increased 74.5 over the vaseline comparison period.
