Abstract:

This is a final report which summarizes the research conducted under the referenced contract, on topics motivated by logistics, reliability, life testing and quality control problems. The topics covered included, in alphabetical order, accelerated life testing and dose-response studies, analysis of queueing systems, decision models for missile systems, foundational issues in treatment of uncertainties, Kalman filtering, multivariate distributions in reliability, software reliability modelling and time-series analysis of software failure data, use of expert opinion in reliability and fault tree analysis. Most of the work undertaken has appeared or will appear in print as journal articles. The other work is currently under review for various professional journals.
