The radiative and collisional dynamics in the B3 pi O state of bromine monochloride have been studied using time-resolved and steady-state, spectrally-resolved laser induced fluorescence techniques. Radiative lifetimes and rate constants for electronic quenching, state-to-state vibrational transfer, and total rotational removal were obtained from observed bromine chloride B-X emission in the presence of Cl2, He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, N2, and O2 buffer gases. Vibrational states v 0-7 were probed and emission observed from states v 0-6.
