Pagination or Media Count:
A high resolution interferometer was used to measure the medium- and long-wave infrared absorption spectra of carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide heated to 800K. Modifications were made to the instrument to improve its wavelength accuracy and reliability. In the 4.3 micrometer region, 5 bands of 12C16O18O were identified and the corresponding spectral constants were reduced. The constants reproduce the position of the spectra lines to within 0.0005cm. Absorption spectra of N2O and CO2 in the 7.8 micrometer and 15 micrometer regions respectively, have been recorded and their preliminary analysis has been completed.
