NATIONAL MATERIALS ADVISORY BOARD (NAS-NAE) WASHINGTON DC
Pagination or Media Count:
This is the fifth volume in a series. The fire safety aspects of polymeric materials are examined with primary emphasis on human survival. This volume is a summary of the first four volumes of the series, which deal with materials state of the art test methods, specifications, and standards smoke and toxicity and fire dynamics and scenarios. Later volumes deal with applications to aircraft, buildings, land vehicles, ships, and mines and bunkers. The purpose of this volume is to provide an outline of the basis or disciplinary information relating to fire safety of polymeric materials for designers and others concerned with the problem, such as fire chiefs, fire inspectors, and fire investigators.
