The aim of the present work is the calculation of the energy of ionic xenon-chlorine systems which can be formed in solid Xe by irradiation. The energy levels of these ionic systems differ from those in the gas phase due to polarization and dispersion interactions with solid Xe atoms. It is shown that the Xenon Chloride - molecule is responsible for experimentally-observed emission. The activation energy of the Xe 2d CL- formation is found to form a broad band.
