The quantum oscillations of the conductivity components of two- dimensional electron systems with finite width are evaluated explicitly as functions of the electron Fermi energy for a set of magnetic fields. The theoretical magnetoconductivity reproduces well the main features of the data on Si inversion layers at 140 and 110 nm.
