Abstract:
The Air Force uses dynamic programming to assess the wartime logistics of their aircraft systems. However, they do not have a standard methodology to assess the combat capability of nonaircraft systems. This report examines a methodology to apply the Dyna-METRIC model to assess non-aircraft systems. Several systems are discussed mobile tactial communications, civil engineering, transportation and space systems. All are assessed in terms of four critical variables demand rates, sortie equivalents, fleet size, and redundancy. Keywords Communications equipment, Computerized simulation, Dynamic programming, Military supplies.
