Abstract:
This paper analyzes the performance characteristics of a packet broadcasting random multiple access computer communication network with a CSMACD protocol. The analysis is based on the Enet II protocol, which was designed to effectively resolve collisions in such a network. Bounds on the performance of the network are established.
