Historical data on combat-produced neuropsychiatric NP casualties, from several sources, are mathematically fit to functions which depend upon time in combat, wounded in action rate, type of unit, and others. Data from World II are contrasted with data from Israeli conflicts to derive the functional dependence of combat intensity. The final results are presented as closed form equations which can be used as estimates for NP casualties in quantitative warfare simulations.
