Pagination or Media Count:
This report evaluates the Armys Basic Skills Education Program as it was implemented from FY 78 to FY 82. Results show that there is a genuine need for the program, that it improves skills and results in lower attrition rates and slightly higher pay grades. However, many soldiers leave the program without meeting criterion test scores. In addition, existing data bases covering the Program need to be integrated and monitored for accuracy and completeness. Keywords Basic skills, Literacy, Evaluation, English-as-a-second-language.
