Abstract:
The second years scientific accomplishments include studying three finite element models for SH waves or elastic P and SV waves with display of snapshots, and studying finite element source mechanism, and modifying the two-dimensional finite element computer codes for SH waves and elastic waves. Five different types of source, including concentrated coupled line source and non-directional line source for elastic waves, are considered. The 2-CST formulation and nodal-point-oriented technique have been introduced to the computer codes. Keywords 2CST algorithm Constant strain triangles Synthetic seismograms Seismic wave propagation and Surface waves.
