A program was undertaken to develop prediction procedures for organizational-level testability attributes. This report describes the first phase of that effort the establishment of definitions and mathematical frameworks, together with the feasibility of continuing to pursue the ultimate objective of developing a model that will predict the testability attributes. The initial phase has concentrated on the three most commonly specified descriptors of system testability fraction of faults detected FFD fraction of faults isolated FFI, and fraction of false alarms FFA.
