Using a mean-square IM criterion, a new approach for the reduction of intermodulation distortion is developed here. Advantages realized are 1 reduction of IM distortion by 15 to 50 dB, 2 guaranteed stability of the compensator, 3 a minimum pre-specified damping ration of the blocks of the nonlinear compensator. Adesign program based on the approach is also presented.
