Abstract:

In this review we summarize and generalize the results of a recent detailed comparative investigation of OH, OH, and H desorption from OHTiO2, H2Os, and H2Og, and O- and O desorption from OW and OMo10. Two mechanisms for O- and OH desorption have been proposed which were not revealed in the positive ion desorption yields. These additional electron attachment mechanisms are placed in the context of the previously proposed ionic desorption mechanisms and are discussed in detail.
