Abstract:

The modeling of crosstalk on printed circuit boards is investigated. The emphasis is on simple models for use in CADCAM codes. Several simple models are developed. Their predictions are assessed for typical printed circuit board dimensions and interfering signals. The model predictions are compared to those of conventional lumped-circuit iterative models as well as experimental results. Also included are similar results for a ribbon cable.
