Abstract:

A formula derived b Noble has been generalized to obtain an expansion of the Kronecker delta function as and infinite series involving the products of two Jacobi polynomials. For the inviscid, incompressible flow of rotating fluid shells confined between concentric, spherical, rigid, co-rotating boundaries one needs this proof.
