Abstract:

This work represents the authors research into the real power that Saudi Arabia has to influence the West in the area of decision making. In this research report the author sets forth his beliefs about how best to assess the true extent of Saudi power, taking into consideration Saudi geo-politice-demographic characteristics, how the centralization of power in the hands of the royal family ties in with the discovery and exploitation of oil, the components of strength and weakness, her position in the Arab world and the ability to use oil as a weapon politically. He outlines the asymmetry in SaudiU.S. relations and attempts an analysis and forecast. The author is an Israeli fighter pilot.
