Abstract:

Methods of ray optics are used to describe the wavefronts emerging from the specular lines or specular rings on three separate irradiated re-entrant conductors for short radar wave-lengths. The conductors are a biconical reflector, a hollow circular cylinder with a far flat termination, and a thin spherical shell with a circular hole. The associated far fields and hence their RCSRadar Cross Section components are then found from evaluation of the associated simple field integrals using Huygens Principle. This is an Australian document.
