Waverly Dam is a masonry gravity structure consisting of a broad-crested spillway and regulating outlets located at either end of the spillway. The overall length of the dam is approximately 284 ft. with an associated height of 20 ft. The dam is in fair condition, based on a visual examination of the structure. Although some deficiencies were noted, there was no evidence of settlement, lateral movement or other signs of structural failure, or other conditions which would warrant urgent remedial action. Hydraulic analyses indicate that the test flood outflow of 15,000 cfs would overtop the dam by about 1.6 ft. With the water level at the top of dam, the ungated spillway capacity is approximately 9,640 cfs which is 64 percent of the test flood.
