Abstract:

Data are presented in three tables. Table A - This table covers awards for research, development, test, and evaluation work RDTE. Data are displayed according to standard DOD procurement program categories. Table B - Data on awards for other services and construction are provided in Table B, arrayed according to Federal Procurement Data System codes and descriptions. This structure, which covers all non-RDTE services is composed of 19 groups and almost 300 individual classes. Some of the groups which are shown on Table B include Construction of Structures and Facilities, Operation of Government-Owned Facility, Lease or Rental of Equipment, and Utilities and Housekeeping Services. This system, now employed as a federal requirement, was originally developed for the purpose of reporting the procurement of services other than RDTE. Table C - Table C contains data on awards for supplies and equipment, presented according to the appropriate Federal Supply Classification FSC code and description. This structure is composed of 78 groups and approximately 630 individual classes. This system was developed primarily for supply management of items known to be in the supply system of the Federal government.
