Abstract:

An interactive computer simulation of marine gas turbine installations including intake and exhaust ducting for the engine and module cooling has been developed. A one-dimensional analysis was used in determining the pressure losses of the ducting. The pressure losses along with the ambient conditions and desired power setting define a unique operating point for the system. The computer model predicts operating parameters for this point by an inerative matching technique.
