While extensive land disturbance has been defined for several areas at TOAD, two areas, the vicinity of Oakes Swamp and the Passion Recreation Area, are only minimally disturbed and may yield archeological resources. Remnants of the original Tobyhanna Military Reservation buildings may still exist in TOADs GDA-1 and remnants of a structure associated within the Dodge, Meggs and Dodge Co. may still exist in TOADs GDA-6. Recommendations for archeological survey include undisturbed areas near marshland and streams to identify possible archeological resources and areas near future development projects to document inferred land disturbance.
