Abstract:

This research applied the methodology of Structured Systems Analysis to the information requirements of the Department of Administrative Sciences of the Naval Postgraduate School. It reviewed all flows of information to and from the Department and showed that even though, in the aggregate, the requirements seem amazingly complex, the analysis can be structured in a sensible, methodical system. The author also recommends several relational data bases and internal reports to support the Departments information requirements, as well as recommending that the analysis approach be adapted throughout the university.
