Recently, Rome Air Development Center RADC and Defense Mapping Agency DMA have procured a software package designed to perform restoration processing on digital imagery. The software package was developed under contractual effort by PAR Technology Inc. and installed on the RADC Image Processing System IPS and the DMA Remote Work Processing Facilities which are identically configured and consist of a compliment of PDP 1134, PDP 1170, AP120B Array Processor, displays and peripherals. The purpose of this report is to document results of recent experimentation performed at RADC under the Summer Faculty Research Program using the IPS and the Image Restoration and Manipulation Software IRAMS package. The report contains the results of a ten 10 week investigation performed by David Lai and Mr. Kevin Verfaille of the University of Vermont and Mr. John Potenza of RADC IRRE. Author
