The Judd-Ofelt theory of induced electric-dipole transitions is used to calculate multiplet-to-multiplet line strengths, lifetimes, and branching ratios, and line-to-line squared matrix elements between all the energy levels considered for the triply ionized lanthanides Ce3 through Yb3 in Gd3Sc2Ga3O12. Magnetic-dipole transitions are also calculated. The even-n Bnm used in the calculations are obtained by smoothing the phenomenological Bnm obtained by fitting experimental data on neodymium. The odd-n Anm are obtained from appropriate lattice sums. These results are compared with neodymium in several popular host materials.
