Abstract:

Algorithms recommended for inclusion in an update of the AD real-time range safety control program, P2457, are developed. The developed algorithms include ones for large and small beta fragment impact prediction by table look-up procedures, adaptive exponential digital filtering of radar data, and the optimal combining of radar and telemetered navigation systemaltimeter system data for use in impact prediction. The algorithms are presented in a form conducive to fast, efficient incorporation in the P2457 update.
