Abstract:

The papers incorporated in this volume represent the Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Radiation Effects in Insulators REI-83 held in Albuquerque, N.M., USA, on May 30-June 3, 1983. The Conference attracted approximately 110 attendees from 15 countries including the USA. The opening address was given by Professor J.H. Crawford, Jr. Univ. of N.C., USA. The technical sessions, highlighted by the presentations of 12 invited speakers, were on Crystalline Oxides, Radiation Modification of Materials, Sputtering, Condensed Gases, Device Applicatons, Ion Tracks, Halides, Glasses, Nuclear Waste materials, Organic Materials, and Radiation Chemistry Seventy-two contributed papers were presented at these sessions.
