Abstract:

The subject of this report is an electromagnetic compatibility EMC assessment methodology i.e., a consistent set of procedures which assure EMC for modifications to the RF subsystem electronics on command, control, communications, and intelligence C3I aircraft. To achieve the primary study goal, development of a robust EMC assessment methodology, the effort was divided into six conceptual phases. 1 Bounding the Problem, 2 Investigating Existing Methodologies, 3 Formulating the Assessment Methodology, 4 Developing a Baseline Database, 5 Performing a Baseline EMC Assessment, and 6 Modifying the Database and Fine Tuning the Methodology.
