This study has, as its primary objective, delineating the social issues, or the human implications of the year 2000. Population, socialization, work ethics, values and personnel policies are examined, as broad functional areas. These broad areas have significance in reference to psychosocial implications of individuals comprising the younger cohorts in the Army. Specifically, this study has implications for how individuals are to be acquired, and how they should be managed, led, and retained. This study will not review the concept of how the Army will fight and support the operations into the turn of the century. author
