Effects of Load, Cognitive Complexity and Type A on Satisfaction.

Effects of information load on satisfaction as modified by type A vs. Type B and by Cognitive Complexity were investigated. Satisfaction decreased with increasing task difficulty load but was particularly low for persons of Type A and cognitive simple styles. Similar results were obtained for a measure of Enjoyment Despite Dissatisfaction which accounted for motivation in the face of challenge. Relationships between job and task satisfaction are considered. Author
