This project develops an algorithm modeling part of the squadron scheduling function. The thesis includes a description of the scheduling function, brief descriptions of some work previously published on computer aids to scheduling, and describes the approach taken in developing the algorithm. The bulk of the thesis is a listing of the programs written to demonstrate the algorithm. The programs are written in Microsft BASIC-80, version 5.21, which is compatible with the Cromemco microcomputers supplied to fighter squadrons in the Air Force. The programs allow data entry for a weekly schedule, show which pilots are qualified and available for each activity, and allow selection of an individual pilot for each. Author
