Abstract:

During the period of the present research contract 1 We have completed the design and construction of a prototype sweep-frequency electromagnetic exploration system 2 We have tested extensively a prototype swept-frequency electromagnetic system on various geological environments and demonstrated the system capability to delineate subsurface geological structures of the earth 3 We have initiated several theoretical approaches suitable for the interpretation of the spectral profiles generated by the swept-frequency system which are to be correlated with geological structures.
