Recompression procedures for treatment of decompression sickness DCS and arterial gas embolism AE have undergone considerable evolution over the past 20 years. Minimal recompression oxygen tables were adopted in 1967 to improve treatment results and shorten treatment times, and in 1978 treatment table 5A was eliminated and additional instructions on treatment logic was provided. An evaluation of treatments conducted in U.S. Navy hyperbaric facilities has not been accomplished since li70. Author
