The main purpose of this Report was to evaluate the atmospheric rotation rate from changes in the satellites orbital inclination. This was successfully accomplished and it was also possible to make two other useful analyses the right ascension of the node was analysed to demonstrate for the first time the effects of atmospheric rotation on this orbital element also, since the solar activity was at a higher level than at any time since 1958, the values of scale height derived from the decrease in perigee height proved to be of unexpected significance.
