The objective of this Conference was to assess the State of Knowledge and identify the research needs regarding the full spectrum of fixed-film biological processes. The Conference consisted of 13 technical sessions with a total 80 presentations, one workshop on research needs for fixed-film biological wastewater treatment process, and a field tour to the LeSourdsville Regional Rotating Biological Contactor Plant.
